Any suggestions on how to further talk to a man whom I know through mutual friends. I want to get to know him or something to say to him. I was still pretty quiet and shy and we didn't talk to each other much.
Well my biggest complaint with new guys I meet is how they demand my phone Nr. I always ask for theirs instead.
If you see a man in the hallway, and if you're close enough, just poke him or wave to him and keep it casual to start things out.

Bottom line: From his actions around you I'm sure that if you went up to him and started a conversation he would be thrilled and it would take a lot of pressure off of him.
